Call for Community Presenters Posted Nov 11, 2005 01:47 am

The Music Industry Association of Nova Scotia (MIANS), in partnership with the Department of Tourism Culture and Heritage, are uniting Nova Scotia music with Nova Scotia communities. Eighteen provincial acts will travel to twenty seven communities throughout Nova Scotia. These concerts present a varied and talented line-up of Nova Scotia music in locations throughout the province that may not otherwise have access to these musicians. The Bringin' It Home concerts will present a multitude of diversity from pop to folk, rock, blues, R&B, classical, traditional and new inspiring singer/songwriters. The venues promote family participation and celebration.

We encourage community organizations to get involved and present a show, this is a tremendous way to support Nova Scotia music and create excitement in your community, there are benefits for your schools as well. (more details to follow)

MIANS will provide artists, technical support, and public relations, including an extensive advertising campaign, to assist you in your presentation. For more information on how to get your community involved, contact brucem@mians.ca or Caralee Murphy at MIANS: 902.423.6271.
